there’s a fatal error.
on June 10th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
go to this url to start the installation:
http://yourstoreurl/install/
if it still displays the error then check your server configuration to make sure it supports oscommerce.
on June 10th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
i mean, there’s a fatal error after the installation.
Call to undefined object in the new product files. I forgot which file, anyway i removed the whole thing.
on June 10th, 2008 at 11:35 pm
i don’t really know what you get. you are the first person to complain and there have been more than 100 people(at least) who installed the template without any problems. if you could send a link or something where I can see the error I can help you with it and you can help me to prevent it from appearing in the future.
on June 12th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
Hello,
i like this Template very much…but how can i install it?
on June 12th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
copy the files on the server and then go to http://yoururl/install/ if the install folder is in your root folder on the ftp, and follow the instructions on the screen.
Note that this template can be installed only as a fresh copy of oscommerce but you can still keep your database records, however, other contributions you may have aleady installed will be lost when installing xwayz.
on June 14th, 2008 at 5:05 am
Will I loose everything in my catalog by uploading this template?
on June 15th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
Is it also possible to upload multiple images with this contribution?
on June 15th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
if you want to upload multiple images you’ll have to install a multi image contribution. This is just a default oscommerce copy with a template integrated.
on June 23rd, 2008 at 12:19 am
Looking really good. Was thinking about starting another site with oscommerce but was a bit worried about fixing the whole design. This made the choice so easy. Going for oscommerce going for xwayz!
on June 23rd, 2008 at 12:35 am
I’m glad you find it useful. Make sure you keep the copyright in the footer so that others can hear about xwayz too
on June 23rd, 2008 at 1:42 am
how do you turn off the google ads as well as the add to cart buttons on the index page and buy now buttons on the products page?
on June 23rd, 2008 at 2:24 am
I figured out how to remove the buy now buttons, Still would like to know how to remove the google ads as well as well as the add to cart button on the index page. And now also would like to know how to turn off the product price from displaying. Thanks alot, I love this template
on June 24th, 2008 at 3:28 am
Well how about the add to cart buttons in the new products for the month section? And maybe if you made a convenient way of making donations people may be so inclined?

on July 6th, 2008 at 2:15 am
Very nice template. Installed it with no problems. But how do you get rid of the google ads?
on July 6th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
Hello again
Can I change the “New Products in *Month*” on the Mainpage to Categories? And if so….how ?
Many Thanks for your Help and Greetings from Germany!
kriss
on July 6th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
you can change that text in includes/languages/english(or your language folder)/index.php around line 13-14 look for(define(’TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS’, ‘New Products For %s’);). Good luck.
on July 6th, 2008 at 10:47 pm
Thank you for your fast Reponse.
I try that, but when ich change that, the News Products are still there. The Only different: is was changing the Language grom German to English in this New Product Box.
on July 6th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
do you want to change the whole module or just the title? I thought you wanted to change the title only.
To add the categories, locate the categories query code in index.php remove the if clause which verifies if there is a category selected, edit the mysql query to select only the main categories from the db. Then you can either add this code into your new_products.php module in includes/modules/new_products.php or you can create a new module(note you have to add it’s language constants in the language files) and include it in index.php in the default page if section instead of the new_products.php module.
on July 7th, 2008 at 10:35 pm
Puh…ok, thank you. It sounds very difficult for me…but i will try it
on July 8th, 2008 at 8:11 am
Hi! hope u read this and help me fix the problem, i didn’t do any modifications or anything, just installed it and when i go to the localhost got:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $end in G:\Archivos de programa\EasyPHP 2.0b1\www\includes\modules\new_products.php on line 85
on July 8th, 2008 at 9:17 am
Install it correctly.
on July 9th, 2008 at 7:48 am
Hi,
I have uploaded all the files and created the datebase however when I go to http://yourstoreurl/install/ however after I enter the database details and click on Continue I keep getting
Access denied for user ‘breaknet_pcshop’@’server.ultrafastx.com’ (using password: YES)
I have checked to ensure I am entering the correct info and even tried creating a new database however same error occurs.
Any idea on what I might have done wrong?
on July 9th, 2008 at 7:49 am
never mind the above, put in localhost instead of the domain and is all good
on July 9th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
trying to get rid of the google ads i found a comment in the source code saying that “you are not allowed to remove the google ads … please contact the author of this template (ThinBlue)” ; could you please explain in what terms we can use this template !?
on July 9th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
you are allowed to remove the ads, just say thanks. some of the users just remove the copyright, the ads and don’t even say thank you. This is why I put that warning text.
on July 10th, 2008 at 12:11 pm
thank you for the explanation and, of course, for the template; i promise if i will use it i won’t remove the copyright note (perhaps only that part with xwyz :-))

I just got rid of the google ads (I will leave the credits and copyright), and I want to say thank you for your great design work.

Thank you very much. Users like you provide satisfaction and motivation for creating other free templates.

Hello,
first I will say very big thanks for this great theme. It looks very great.
But I have a little problem.
The details button isn’t shown on my page and I couldn’t change the rights on my ftp server - the result is a mistake which I couldn’t delet. Can you help me please?
on July 23rd, 2008 at 8:07 pm
Hi I’m getting Access denied for user ‘USERNAME’@'NAME.dns-systems.net’ (using password: YES). Sorry for being so dim but where do I find my local host name?
on July 23rd, 2008 at 8:08 pm
ask your hosting provider or server admin about that information.
on July 23rd, 2008 at 8:16 pm
yeh he’s a bit quiet today! i’ll find out and let you know. BTW looks a fab template - perhaps one of the best i’ve seen
on July 23rd, 2008 at 8:18 pm
maybe this helps: i can install osc via my control panel but i want to try your template out. how can i do this using a pre-installed osc 2.2rca?
on July 23rd, 2008 at 8:20 pm
sorry that sound complicated. what i mean is that i can clean install osc v2.2 via control panel. can i overlay your template somehow (its really good :-))
on July 23rd, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Hello, I noticed above you said we’re aloud to remove the google ads as long as we keep a note of who designed the template, how would I go about doing this?
Also, how do I change the titles of the pages in the navbox? like I want to change it from “Conditions of Use” to “Disclaimer”, how is this done heh?
cheers
on July 23rd, 2008 at 9:45 pm
You have to edit the includes/languages/english.php file, if I remember well. If not check the other language files for the text you want to change, and just edit the constants.
Yes you are allowed to remove the ads as long as I give you permission after you send a request through an email in which you have to include a url to your future shop.
Thx for using my template
on July 23rd, 2008 at 9:49 pm
hi, if you are not able to clean install my template, it will be a lot more complicated if you will try to blend my template with an oscommerce script installed with fantastico. Upload all the template files to your ftp and go to yoururl/install and follow the instructions on the screen. Gl.
on July 23rd, 2008 at 9:53 pm
i’m probably being really stupid, but what’s your email?
on July 23rd, 2008 at 11:31 pm

on July 30th, 2008 at 4:29 am
Hi!! A big thanx for a really cool and nice template!

I have the same question as LewisM, what’s your email?
on July 30th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
hey, I sent you an email a few days ago with a link to my site and havn’t heard back from you :S
on August 3rd, 2008 at 11:15 pm
Hey!
Thanks a million for this! I really appreciate it.
Just wanted to know, whats your email
on August 6th, 2008 at 12:02 am
As you can see here: http://ministickers.jksoft.nl/oscommerce/catalog/
I have problems with the layout (both in safari and firefox).
I already made one fix by changing <? into <?php since <? is a bad habit and conflicts with xhtml in php pages (so I always disable it).
However, I don’t understand why the page is so messed up.
on August 6th, 2008 at 1:20 am
Fixed it, I was stupid enough to apply two templates at the same time!
Thanks Johan
on August 12th, 2008 at 9:51 pm

on August 14th, 2008 at 11:33 am
Pablo, edit the includes/footer.php file to remove the bar.
on August 14th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
And what about my second question?;)
(How can i remove those google ads? i tried look for it inside of many files, couldn’t find it though:/)
on August 15th, 2008 at 12:35 am
Well seems I didn’t recieve a answer to the question. That is ok, I searched the php files and found the answer. The new_products.php looks like warmed over death. Would someone on this forum please send me the file? I uploaded the template from two different sources and the file was a mess from both places. Thanks in advance.
Bo

They thanks for the template …. i will be removing the google ads also … will keep a link to this theme … as sponsored by. Thanks for everything
on August 15th, 2008 at 7:23 am
Bo Mccoury
Looks like all files are not uploaded properly ……….
on August 16th, 2008 at 5:22 am
All the files are uploaded correctly, I changed the new_products.php with another new_products.php and it works fine. This is a single server and I don’t have to upload via http://FTP. something just looks different in the new_products.php. i inserted a mod for the new_products.php.
http://localhost/public_html1/xwayz/xwayz/index.php
If someone would let me have a copy of the new_products.php i can check it in my editor to see if something is missing.
Thanks Bo

Hey, are you getting my emails ok? really need to finish off removing the adverts heh, we want the site to be live in the next few days…
on September 2nd, 2008 at 4:37 am
Hi,
I would want to use your Thin Blue template, but, after install, translate a lot of things to my language and high tests of quality, looking for bugs, I decide to visit your website and I really love this template…
I finnished to install it, but I was a little disappointed when I’m starting with my tests… with the original template…
when I’m in a page with a bigger width, the header and the footer keeps the original size and the body expands (like page result of an search and page of regiter) deforming the page…
it has as to correct? Until the moment it was the only impediment that I found to use this template.
Thanks for your support, help and great job.
on September 2nd, 2008 at 4:40 am
when I said ‘I really love this template…’ I’m talking about this xwayz template, sorry for this ambiguous phrase.
on September 2nd, 2008 at 3:17 pm
where’s my 2 posts here, #60 and #61 ?
why did you remove it ? I wanna help =/
on September 2nd, 2008 at 3:18 pm

on September 2nd, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Thank you for you hard work and effort on this template. I’m starting to use it and found it very helpful. Very tasteful layout.
