The admin problem is from your server or browser(make sure you remove the cookies before checking to see the login is working). You can resize the header image only if you have the psd resource but I am not releasing that resource because I am having some issues with the gnu license.

Thanks for your help, although the admin section login issue is on every machine i have tested it on, including friends and relatives that I have asked to check it, as soon as you go to http://www.url.com/admin it just lets you in, have noticed this on some other LIVE shops too and have duly notified the shop ownes as it exposes all of their customer details and also their payment details…

Could you provide a link with a test install of greenmania, so that I can see what is the problem. I have tested the template on both windows and linux environments and I don’t get that kind of error. Also you are the first person to notice this and there are well over 2000 downloads(including external download sources.
Moreover, here is a link with a store who installed a copy of greenmania(the link is randomly picked from google): http://www.mario.borosoft.cz/ and their admin login interface is working like it should.

I only have the live environment, any tes install would give away my url, which obviously i dont want to until this is rsolved - I am currently waiting for my hosting compny to secure the folder from their end, however I done a search for greenmania abavee in google and found a cuple of sits that have this problem, I AM NOT SAYING IN ANYWAY THAT THIS IS YOUR TEMPLATE, AS IT IS NOT!! I have also found this issue with other osCommerce installs, and I think it is tied up with various other contributions as I am also running the register globals fix and the long array fix, so I think it is an issues with all of these things put together, dont get me wrong, I love the template, and it is perfect for what i want, i would have had this issue with any other template, just wanted to know if you knew the fix.

I have tested the template as it is and it seems to work fine. Others have said the same thing when asked. Check the other contributions for bugs, or ask your host to restrict access to your admin folder using apache’s .htaccess

I tried that and I can’t seem to connect to the server.
I figured I could manual install just the files that I needed to make it look like the template along with the light box.

well then, just save the includes/configure.php from your fantastico install, copy all the template files and folders on your server, overwrite everything, except the admin folder from your server, and then copy over the new files the configure.php file you saved earlier. This should work fine.

I have downloaded your nicelooking template and done a fresh install.
After the installation when i am trying to go to the catalog all i get is “unable to connect to database server” I find this strange since the regular OSC worked just fine.

I have just replaced the original oscommerce catalog folder with the catalog folder found in this download. After installing, the template seems to be the same as the default oscommerce template. What am I doing wrong?

Try backing up the old catalog folder, then remove it, install the greenmania files and you should be ok. You can always try a test intall of greenamania on a subdomain or localhost to see exactly how to install it.

Using FTP it wouldnt let me remove the old catalog folder for some reason so i overwrote it with the new one. I followed the installation process. Is it because i did not delete the old folder? Thank you for your patients

If you have cpanel try removing the files from the file manager, or use some other web based file manager provided by your host to remove the files. I never heard about something like this, not being able to remove the files from the ftp even though you are the owner… Make sure you have permissions and everything you need. Good luck.

Great! Its working! This is the best layout I have seen yet. Thank you so much man! There is only a couple of things that I wish could be changed:
1. Reviews are shown on the same page as the product.
2. a five-star rating system would be displayed below the product when looking at different products to easily compare.
Is there a way I can fix this? If there is let me know. Expect me to donate sometime so I can get rid of the adds. Excellent work. Just send me an e-mail when convenient with paypal info

you have to remove the lightbox code from product_info.php and the other files where you can find the lightbox and just add the normal popup code from a fresh copy of oscommerce.

You have to manually install the template. This is the easiest way. Copy the files on the server, go to yoururl/install and follow the instructions.

My site 5wear.com is running your template. Thanks and nice job on it. I have a problem though. If you go there you can see that on the front page where the products are the font for the description is black so it cannot be read. You are not forced to donate, you donate if you wish, but you have to ask for my permission to remove the ads, also you have to provide a url to your shop when asking for permission.
Make sure you keep the copyright text intact.

have installed your template and have made some changes to help fit into the design for the new site, although I am not happy with my version of the buttons, so I might tweak some more.
First, thanks for making these available for free, I would like to arrange to have the Google Ads removed. I guess you respond by email to this request. I’ve added a link to the shop, I won’t be removing your ad.
Secondly, lots of questions about how to install your template etc…Wiki anyone? I’ve had to resolve the same issue as Wendy; it just needed a little cheat to resolve if you are used to setting up using Fantastico.
Haven’t been getting auto-access to admin area, so doubt it the greenmania template on its own, but if your host package comes with cpanel, add the admin folder to the password protected list of directories, little extra layer of security never hurt anyone.

However there is one issue i have to ask about. My shop does not send emails:/ Don’t know why, there are no errors, but emails just dont come. I’ve check it on few differnt email boxes and still nothing. How exactly do i have to config it?
I’ve tried both sendemail and smtp ways, and put my own email as a “from” correctly. Any solutions?

Look at the html code(View Source), and then locate the html code in the php files or if the html code contains css then look for the css style in the stylesheets.css file.

hi. is it possible to put your categories in the header?? for example NEW PRODUCTS and SPECIALS replaced with Hardware or Software? i cant find a straight link to the categories. i know how to change the links from the header in the header.php but i dont know what kinda link i need to get direct to one of my categories.

I can’t put the categories there because if a user will add more than the default number of cats the layout will go bezerk. You can edit your template though. Look in includes/boxes/categories.php(here you’ll find the file which is displaying the categories box on the left) and take(and edit) the code from there and place it in your header.php so that it looks like you want it to. good luck.

Hello again! Sure thing. But having a problem separating the working bit of code (ie Quick Search, Manufacturers etc) from the graphical bit if that makes sense? For instance I want to add the Attributes Filter Dropdown contrib but haven’t been able to stick it on top of a Greenmania style Box. I really like the design and colours of this template.
I have a website based on oscommerce but the modified oscmax ver 1.7.
Can you make me a similar type template for that version?
I have also had certain things modified that I don’t want to lose, such as expected delivery, shipping insurance etc.
I would also need you to backup and import the current database as it is a functioning website and I can’t lose any data.

Hi…I am currently developing my website using your fantastic template. Many thanks! I will be selling digital items for download. Everything is fine, except navigation skips directly from the order confirmation page and straight to paypal without allowing the customer to download the item. I have tried linking the customer back to checkout_success.php but it just says basket empty. Please help!

Robert, you can add a multiple images contribution of you can edit the code to support more images. I would recommend to install the contribution if you are not very familiar with php.

Make sure you installed the template correctly. You are the first person from over 3000 to report this kind of problem. Please read carefully through the oscommerce installation documentation and make sure you did everything right.

Hi, i noticed that the define_mainpage.php is missing. How do i add it back to write some text on the center.

it’s not a .php file, it’s a contant which you have to echo where you want that text to appear. Insert this code in the index.php file where you want your text to appear(code: < ?php echo TEXT_MAIN; ?>).
In a default oscommerce script this code can be found at line 307 in the index.php file.
So if you would like to see how it looks originally, you shoul look there first to get a better idea of how this constant works.

After trying the template, i found there’s a little problem with the database. I think its related to the product attribute. When i tried to add the ” Matrox G200 MMS ” to the cart, it will add the “unreal tournament” to the cart and verse-versa, some other item are facing this problem too.
the productid=1 would be changed to productid22 or 28, which adds in wrong item to the cart. Anyway to fix this error>?
